At Mt. Bethel Presbyterian Church our mission is to foster educational and spiritual growth opportunities for all ages in our shared journey of knowing and understanding God’s Word and the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
All Mt. Bethel Presbyterian Church Christian Education , under the direction of the Christian Education Committee and the Director of Children’s and Youth Ministry, is currently being offered in either online or hybrid format. Please contact the church office to inquire about how to engage in these opportunities.
Nursery: birth through age three.
For all worship services, childcare is provided by 2 safe space certified and fully vaccinated nursery care providers. Rochelle Swinson, leader.
Junior Church: children age 3-4th grade.
Every Sunday at 9:30am via zoom.
Kids’ Club: children Age 3-5th grade.
Held once per month (off campus grounds during this phase of the COVID pandemic) on Sunday following Worship, Kids’ Club is time to learn more about God, our community, engage in local mission projects and enjoy fun age appropriate activities.
SHINE: K – 5th grade Coordinators: Amy Daw, Beth Wickham
Presently, we are not meeting in person due to Covid. Our plan for 2022 is to meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:40pm – 6:45pm at the church. SHINE is a program designed to teach children about worship. This program is an extension to what was formerly called Children’s Choir. The children will be invited to participate in some of our Worship services sharing songs or other things they have learned. In addition to singing, children will experience playing instruments, acting out Bible stories, learning scripture, arts and crafts, working with puppets and hopefully have lots of fun while learning how God would have us love and serve. Until we begin meeting in person, we are delivering materials for children to use at home.

Explorer, Learn and Share Class: adults of all ages.
This class meets on Sundays at 9:45am via Zoom. Through the exploration of biblical text, adult study groups are invited into a deepened relationship with God through The Present Word studies. Paul Laughton and Ken Jones, leaders.
Mt. Bethel Antiracism Class: class meets every other Monday at 7:00pm via Zoom. This class provides an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of racism, support one another and do antiracism work, within the class and in the community. Courtenay Clifford, leader.
Thursday Theologians: for youth and adults.
Meets Thursday evenings, via zoom, at 7:00 p.m. for biblical and theological discussion. Leslie Wickham, leader.
Podcast Discussion Group: Weekly discussion of various theologically themed podcasts at 9:00am on Sundays via zoom. Dave Irish, leader.
